Hello Birmingham Co-op Members,
I never knew when I agreed to bring a few customers' farm orders back to Birmingham with my order in April of 2017 that this
co-op would turn into what it has become today! We drove to the farm every other week for 5 years...and NOW we are delivering WEEKLY because YOU want the freshest of the farm products that your farmer provides!
The growth we have seen in the five and a half years has been truly amazing! Your continued partnership has
been a HUGE part in keeping an amazing family farm going! And it has been a complete JOY of mine to see it all happen, and to do my part, as well!
As many of you already know, the Hammonds started the farm in Powder Springs, Georgia, but have recently sold that farm and
moved the entire family to the (now) 130-acre farm in Piedmont, Alabama. The farm is so incredibly beautiful--I DO hope you all get to see it at least once!--and they are producing more product there than ever before! (Let's just say...the chickens and cows are very, very happy animals on all that grassy acreage!)
With that abundance of product comes the ability to grow our co-op! We have room for more MEMBERS....and we
have room for bigger ORDERS, too! (Don't worry--if it outgrows my van, which is used for delivery, we will buy a bigger one or bring a second vehicle, like we've done in the past!) :)
As always, we have grown with word-of-mouth advertising all these years. Most of our growth has come from you sharing with
your own family, friends, and neighbors! For that, WE THANK YOU!
Another way we grow is by all of us making a "swap" from buying something at the local commercial grocery store to buying
straight from our farmer. I'd be glad to share with you some of my family's favorites that we have gotten from the farm all of these years!
So why a long email to say all of this, Melissa?
Because we need YOUR help to grow--right now! Our every-other-week order was a huge one, and that order has been split in half for each of our weekly deliveries, but we need it to grow each week so that it can keep itself going strong!
Might you consider sharing the farm and/or our co-op with someone new this week, to help get the word out?
My Dad & Me Family Farm has something for everyone! Whether it is eggs, ground beef, broiler chickens, granola bars, honey, or bath soap.....there is plenty of that and SO much more available!
OR--even better--is there a product available at the farm that YOU can make
a "swap" with this week? (I'll link the price lists below my signature so you can check those out!) I've even purchased items from the farm that served as wonderful Christmas gifts!
