The six of us have been having a fun time picking blackberries in the rain! My Dad & Me Farm is open so if you would like to come by and get some blackberries come on! We also have a nice array of meats to put on the grill in between these wonderful showers. 

  The rains do make it challenging for certain areas of the farm, trying to deal with muddy spots and wet gardens that are screaming to be picked but we are extremely thankful that the Lord has blessed us with such a wet spring. The pastures are springing back nicely after intensive grazing, the gardens are producing lots of fruit and the hardy kiwi starts are going crazy. It'll still be a few years before we are eating kiwi but that's ok, best to plan today for tomorrow. The pecan trees that we put in last year are thriving. We are particularly thankful for this because pecan trees are very difficult to get through their first year. 

  We are very thankful for all of the veterans that have fought in all of the wars to protect our rights as a free nation. Independence Day is a great reminder of the freedom that this country started with.

 I am saddened by where we are today. We have so many infringements on freedom with the government regulating literally every move we make. We must all stand up for our rights to be free from tyranny. We need to speak out boldly, we need to make our vote count by voting in godly men to lead us and we need to put God back on the throne of our lives.

 We have all become very dependent on government and the freebies they hand out for political gain. We rely on insurances for everything when God desires to be our safety net. We dream of winning the lottery when God wants to be our provider. We worship things, shiny things that are all doomed to perish when we leave this earth. We chase after the idol of self and we worship the creatures instead of the Creator.

 We need to get back to the Bible, the Holy Scriptures and stop interpreting it through the eyes of our politically correct society. We need to live holy lives by the power of the Holy Spirit which comes and dwells within us when we are saved. God is judging us for our idolatry and our nation is crumbling under this judgement. We need to repent!

  "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap."     Galations 6:7

  May God forgive our nation when we repent.
