Dear Farm Friends,
As many of you have noticed, My Dad & Me Family Farm is outgrowing it's boundaries! For the last three weeks we have recorded record sales and new inquiries to the farm are opting in literally every hour of the day. Powder Springs desperately needs more small family farms to help meet this demand. Unfortunately, there is no more room for us to expand at this location.
I would like to encourage those with a love of farming to consider following their dream and set a course to produce good, healthy, non-GMO food. The demand for real food is growing much faster than supply and if more folks don't start now to fill this void our county is going to be in trouble. Commercial agriculture is sickening all of us with their food decisions based in economics irregardless of health concerns. If you have a little land, put it to work!
For some time now the Hammonds have had a dream to purchase a larger farm. At this point, we are not sure of the exact location but we feel led to offer our farm for sale. We are asking the Lord for a farm of 50 or more acres to accommodate room for growth. Of course, we cannot predict the future and the farm may take years to sell or it may not sell at all. If this is the case, we may still be here 20 years from now doing what we do now. Providing the farm does sell, members will be credited with farm bucks for the months they have remaining on their membership.
We certainly covet your prayers since a move for us means a loss of our personal residence as well as the living the farm provides for the 6+ of us here. The farm will be offered for sale for $675,000 firm! Folks that have a preliminary interest can check us out on our website at My Dad & Me Family Farm
. The farm will be sold as a working homestead. The purchase price will include 2 Registered Jersey Milk cows in milk, as well as 75 Rhode Island Red Laying Hens in full production, and a list of amenities that is too long to fit here. Tours of the farmhouse and the farm itself will begin December 28th of this year. If you have interest in the farm, please contact us and we will set up an appointment on or after December 28th. This will give us time to get our working farm ready for showing.
If any of you know of folks looking for a great homestead or a farm to generate home-based income, please pass along our information.
