We have some cow manure mixed with wood shavings available for your garden fertilizer. You can bring your truck and we can load you a tractor bucket scoop for $25 or if you let us know in advance we can bag you some up for $5 a 50 lb. bag. Just email us and we'll get it ready for you. This is the same product we use in our gardens and it makes the best living soil. Also if there are any garden amendments that you would like for us to order in for you, we can get anything that Countryside Organics has to offer. 

Even though it is just March, the weather makes it perfect for putting something on the grill. David put some steaks on the grill last night and they were wonderful! Tina has stocked the freezer full of fresh beef and pork so if grilling sounds good stop by the farm. It is shaping up to be a beautiful day.

For those of you who are making your plans for vegetables this year, we just wanted to let you know that we plan on expanding the vegetable gardens considerably. Our desire is to be able to furnish you with milk, eggs, chicken, beef, pork, rabbit, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and all the vegetables you can consume! Oh, and don't forget Anna's yummy cashew date bars, granola bars and granola breakfast cereal!

David and I will be cranking things up, making major expansions to the gardens. Lord willing with the cold winter it should be a good year for crops. 

Since no one has emerged to purchase the farm we are moving full speed ahead here in Georgia to make many more improvements to My Dad & Me Farm. David and I will begin next week adding some fencing along the front of the property. We hope to make this visually appealing but also it will help us control the deer that like to come across the street and nip at our apple trees and vegetable gardens. 

Susan has gotten the forms on the back porch for broiler orders. We have added a reminder form. Susan printed those in neon green so they would be easily recognizable. When you order your broilers, make sure you fill out the broiler order form and also fill out the reminder form and put it on your refrigerator. For those of you who missed our last email, we will be raising the Freedom Rangers this year and are very excited to have these high quality birds for our table and yours. They will be fed the same non GMO, soy free, organic feed as last year but these birds are much better foragers and therefore provide a healthier and tastier alternative.
