NEW Maple Links & Italian Sausages and Chick Brooder For Sale

Published: Sat, 08/16/14

      Hello Farm Friends,

We just received some Beef Sausage Breakfast Links from our friends in PA, Stony
Mountain Ranch.  You've already been enjoying their beef sticks & jerky, so now, you'll
be able to try their grass-fed beef breakfast links, too!  They have Maple, Sweet Italian,
and Hot Italian Beef Sausage Links available.  They don't taste like pork sausages,
but they're still tasty.  Tell us which your favorite is.

For dinner last night, we grilled some of the new Beef Sausages and also some of
the Ground Lamb and Lamb Chops we recently started selling.  Yum, yum....everything
      was so delicious!

For breakfast we've been having Grits from Riverview Farms and Iron Skillet Bread made right here on the farm.  Oh boy, taste testing sure is hard work!  Don't forget we also have Polenta, Corn Meal, and delicious Popcorn!

During some much needed renovations to the chicken yard area, we had to remove one of our chick brooders.  We no longer have room for it and are offering it for sale for $150.  The floor consists of removable boards for easy cleaning.  We usually put wood shavings in as bedding for the baby chicks.  If you prefer to raise rabbits in it, a wire floor could be installed.  E-mail us if you are interested.

David, Tina, & Ellie have been busy writing blog posts.  Check them out here:

As most of you know, one our friends, Brian Dean, has been growing some veggies for us.  Recently, he has also gotten some laying hens and now is helping us supply you with organically-fed, soy-free, GMO-free, pastured eggs; he's using our Organic Chicken Feed :)  Sorry, we will still have a 1 dozen limit because the total number we are getting is not enough to accommodate unlimited sales.

One word of caution, Tina has discovered that the bulk sausage we are getting from Riverview Farms has some sugar in the spice packet.  Tina is going to be investigating this to find out the source of the sugar so that we will know if there a breach concerning GMOs.  We will keep you filled in as to her findings.

If you haven't done so already, don't forget to reserve your Freedom Ranger Broiler Chickens for September 27th pick-up.

See y'all soon at the farm,
   Daniel, Susan, & Anna
