Yogurt Class and Taking Orders for Hens

Published: Fri, 10/17/14

Hello Farm Friends,

We have had a lot of requests through the years asking us to offer a class on how to make yogurt. So, we have decided to combine yogurt making with making butter and kefir. Class size will be limited to a dozen individuals so this will be an up-close, hands-on experience. The cost of the class will be $35 per person. Each participating farm friend will receive enough culture for making four quarts of yogurt and two coupons for discounts on milk. (to be turned into yogurt :) The class will be held Saturday, November 1st starting at 10:30am and ending at approxiamately 1:30pm.

My Dad and Me Farm will be processing some of our old laying hens. These have been on organic, soy-free, GMO-free feed for almost two years now. Prior to this they were on conventional feed, which would have most likely contained GMOs. I know of nowhere where you can purchase chickens that have been on organic feed for as long as these have. These are NOT broilers. These are "ugly" crockpot chickens for making the highest quality bone broth possible. We will be processing a few of these birds on Saturday, October 25th. We'll take orders first come first serve. These will be the last brids we will offer this year. They will be $15 each and can be secured with a $10 deposit per bird.

Feel free to call or email us with your orders for chickens or for available spots in the yogurt class. Please include a $20 deposit per person for the yogurt class. Thanks for your support of My Dad & Me Family Farm!
See y'all soon at the farm!
