Hello Farm Friends,

Chicken processing went absolutely wonderful Saturday! All of us at the farm would like to say a sincere thank you to all of our generous volunteers. The crew worked hard and processed 210 Freedom Rangers.

Thank you John Hamel, Jodi Mount, Daniel and Katie Seedorf, Leo and Debbie Mulligan, Nick Bramlett, Jamie and Kathy Lozano, Marie Le Pichon, and Zack Klein for being such a great crew and lending a helping hand!

Many thanks to our farm friends for braving the rain and coming out to pick up your birds. We hope you enjoy these new broilers as much as we have.

We're taking orders for July 26th, so let us know how many birds you would like with an email or stop by the farm and fill out an order form. Also, let us know if you would like to volunteer for the 26th Processing Date. It's a fun time and a great time to get to know some of your fellow farm friends.

I would like to put in a plug for Dr. John Hamel, who was one of our helpers at processing. He recently took out all the mercury fillings in my wife, Susan's teeth and he did an exceptional job. He is very close by, just off Dallas Highway and his price was certainly competitive. If you are not convinced that getting the mercury out of your mouth is important go to YouTube and pull up this video. Then call Dr. Hamel for an appointment and tell him My Dad & Me Family Farm sent you!

David just posted his latest blog post and you can check it out here

David and I picked our first tomatoes early this morning. Susan has bagged up about fifteen bags so if you're hungry for a BLT, stop by the farm and get you a bag! We also picked some squash, zucchini, and cucumbers.

Anna picked about two hand-fulls of blackberries this morning. Not enough to sell yet but another few days and the fridge should be loaded. Thank you farm friends for responding to our blackberry you-pick. As soon as we see that there are enough ripe it is our hope to open it up and allow many of you to come in and collect your own berries.
