Hello Farm Friends,

My Dad & Me Farm is looking for some seasonal help for the next 4-5 weeks. This position would be primarily for picking blackberries and blueberries and doing some weeding in the garden. So if any of you farm friends would like to make $7.50 an hour living the dream life, email us and let us know what your availability is over the next 4-5 weeks. David and I will be trying to interview some folks this week. So don't hesitate if you have interest!

Many of you may have noticed the patch of sweet corn we have growing in the front yard. Why grow sod when you can grow food? The corn is doing exceptionally well with all the rain and should start coming in in a week or two. I do not believe it will be ready by the 4th :( but hopefully shortly after. Sweet corn is very difficult to find these days grown without the use of commercial fertilizers and sprays because it is very difficult to keep the corn worm from eating up all of your hard work. We would rather share a few nibbles instead of poisoning ourself in an effort to kill a worm. Stay tuned for some of the best sweet corn you have ever tasted!

Check out David's latest blog post. David, Willie, and I went and dug the potatoes that the three of us planted on April 1st and David used this opportunity to share "Diggin' for Freedom".

David will be processing rabbits very soon. If you would like to reserve one just email us and let us know. They are $25 each and very delicious! David and Tina also have some breeding rabbits for sale for those that would like to start raising their own meat or if you have a child that would like a cuddly pet. Depending on their age, they are anywhere from $25 to $40.

We have a few more non-GMO, soy-free, pastured Freedom Ranger Broiler chickens for sale. They are $5.50 a pound and can be reserved with a $10 deposit for the July 26 processing. We will not be processing in August so keep that in mind when calculating how many birds you will need.

All the kitties have homes now with the exception of one. If this one is for you, just email us and let us know! She is drinking milk out of a bowl now and is ready to be taken home to her new family.

Tina has the freezer stocked with plenty of ground beef and some ribs for anyone needing 4th of July barbecuing food. Also, we have plenty of Iron Skillet Bread dough in the middle milk fridge in the freezer compartment. If you didn't catch Susan's blog about the Iron Skillet Bread, check it out. It blows away anything I have ever eaten. In fact, I had some for breakfast, lunch and supper today!

Thank you, farm friends, for your loyal support of My Dad & Me Family Farm and allowing us to be your farmers.

See ya at the farm!
Daniel
