Hello Farm Friends, It looks like we are
going to have three beautiful, sunny days! David and I have been busy in the garden beds trying to get them ready for planting. We have some cow manure mixed with saw shavings available in 50# feed sacks. They are $5 a bag. We have to sell them while it is sunny and dry because, if we bag them with too much moisture, the bags tend to come apart. If you would like manure for your garden or compost pile, please email us and we will bag you some. It looks like we have until Wednesday evening of
this week to be able to get bags for anyone who is interested. After that, it will probably be next week before things will dry out enough to bag more.
For those that would like to get some soil amendments for their garden, we can get any of the items listed on Countryside Organics' website. Some of the items that might be of interest to our farm friends would be potting soil, organic blueberry fertilizer, green sand, high calcium lime, kelp, fish meal, diatomaceous earth and many other items. Because of the huge expense in having these items shipped, we can save you some money by ordering them when we order our chicken feed. We typically order
every week or two. Check out their website and if you see something you would like, email us and we'll be glad to assist you. Of late, we have been signing a lot of new farm friends and many do not realize that we are open until midnight. We just wanted to make everybody aware that
you are welcome to come from 5 in the morning to 12 midnight Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. If you work a swing shift and need to come after midnight we are glad to work with you, but we do like to know so when Rudy is barking at 2 in the morning we don't come out with our shotgun and shoot somebody :) Yes, we are God-fearing, gun toting conservatives that believe in liberty and proud of it! Look for our email later in the week for our Organic, non-GMO, soy-free Freedom Ranger Broiler Chickens. Get out and enjoy this sunshine and
soak up a little Vitamin D. In fact, pull your socks & shoes off and do a little mineralizin'! See you soon at the farm,
Daniel, Susan, & Anna David, Tina, Willie, & Ellie |
