Hello Farm Friends,

Today we will start taking orders from our Farm Friends for Freedom Ranger Broilers. This is the highest quality chicken available! The birds are housed in chickens tractors with no floor to allow the birds to forage for bugs and feast on grass 24/7 with the pens being moved daily to fresh forage. Their feed is 100% organic, absolutely under no circumstance do they contain any GMO's. The feed is also soy free and the birds are far superior to anything we have ever raised. Even the parents of the chicks that we are raising are not allowed to have GMO's which is unheard of in this modern world of poisons everywhere. For more information about Organic vs. non-GMO click here and read David blog post about it.

Orders will be taken first come, first served and the birds are $6.50 a pound. (Birds generally weigh between 4 and 5 pounds, dressed.) Pick up date for this first batch of broilers is Saturday, May 23 between 4pm and 5:30pm. This is Memorial Day weekend so make sure, if you are planning on being out of town, that you have someone lined up to pick up for you.

Due to the tremendous cost of organic feed, we no longer offer cancellations or deposits to be moved to a later processing date. So, please confirm your availability for pick up before ordering so you do not lose your deposit. Order forms will be on the back porch today.  Come out and get some of the best tasting chicken you have ever put in your mouth!! If you don't believe it, click here to check out Willie's video.

My Dad and Me Family Farm will be ordering some baby chicks (females only) for folks to raise as laying hens. Tina will be offering several of the top breeds including: Rhode Island Red, Black Australorp, Speckled Sussex, and Golden-laced Wyandotte.  If you would like to pre-order some of these chicks, please email us and let us know how many you would like.

This is a great opportunity to get female only breeds of your choice without having to order the minimum of 25 that most of the hatcheries require. You can also mix and match to get a variety of breeds. They will be $5 each and we will be contacting you soon to let you know when they will be ready for pick up. This is the perfect time to get your laying hens to laying age.

Check out David's latest blog post. It includes a video of our latest chicken tractor design and shows how nifty they are to move, feed, & water the chickens!

See you soon at the farm,

Daniel, Susan, & Anna
David, Tina, Willie, & Ellie
