Hello Farm Friends,

My Dad & Me has some beautiful, organic, red seed potatoes for sale. They are $2.50 a pound and they are a wonderful size. I love when they are just the right size for planting whole. This way you don't have to cut them and run the risk of them rotting in the ground. Seed potatoes are a great thing to purchase locally because they cost a fortune to ship. Come on out and get some seed potatoes. April 1st is our target date for planting potatoes. Check out our blog post on How to Plant Your Seed Potatoes by clicking here.

Midnight delivered five beautiful kittens Tuesday night! If you would like to purchase one they are $30 each and will be ready to go home with you in about six weeks. In the meantime, Midnight is drinking lots of good, raw cow's milk and taking good care of her babies.

The cows have been turned out on the beautiful, spring rye grass! This is the highest powered milk you can put into your body. Some of you may notice that the flavor of the milk will change and this is the time to drink up. Also, you can skim the cream off the top of your milk, let it warm up to about 60 degrees, put it in a quart jar, shake it, and in about 10-15 minutes you'll have butter. Drain off the buttermilk, form the butter pieces into a ball and lightly rinse with clear water. Salt to taste and enjoy! You can then take the skimmed milk and make yogurt with that for pro-biotic goodness. Click here for Susan's instructions on how to make Yogurt. And don't forget to use the buttermilk in your next delicious recipe that calls buttermilk.

We still have some Jersey Calves for sale for those that are trying to expand their homestead. They start at $500 and we have them all the way up to $2550. These are 100% grass fed, halter broken and are thoroughbred registered Jersey's. Email us about a time that you would like to come see what we have to offer.

We will be selling some tomato plants as well as a few other garden vegetables starting on April 15. So if you are looking for truly organic starts, including organic seeds that have not been treated, then mark April 15th on your calendar and come out and pick up some plants for your garden.

Just a reminder, remember to recycle all your glass jars back through My Dad & Me Farm. This helps us very much and we appreciate all of you who have already been doing this. Also, if you have half gallon glass jars that you have not returned to the farm we would appreciate a "round up" of these missing jars. Susan is having to purchase a lot of jars these days because some of them never seem to make it back to the farm.

Tina has ordered the baby chicks for future laying hens. We will have a handful of extras that will be sold first come, first served at the farm. They are $5 each and will be coming in a few weeks.

I hope everyone has the opportunity to get out and enjoy this sunshine, soak up a little vitamin D, and start prepping that garden spot for April 15th. It is only a couple of weeks away!

Thanks for your loyal support.
See you soon at the farm,

Daniel, Susan, & Anna
David, Tina, Willie, & Ellie
