Hello Farm Friends, Many of our farm friends
have already picked up their baby chicks, but we do have a few extras we ordered for those of you that want a few future laying hens. These are all females so they are neighbor friendly! :) Stop by the farm today and start your own backyard flock. It is really quite simple to have a half dozen hens or so and the reward is tremendous.
David has been picking this morning and the fridges are full of wonderful salad greens and some fresh kale. You will be amazed at how long these fresh greens will hold up in the fridge. Get a few bags and have salad each night with dinner. Of course, I like to adorn my salad with farm-fresh boiled eggs, iron skillet bread made into some delicious homemade croutons, then add a little raw milk swiss cheese, and top with organic olive oil
and some freshly ground black pepper & a little sea salt. Now that's eatin'.
Susan has loaded up the first milk fridge with extra milk so if you have been craving some along with a little Muddy Moose, come on out to the farm.
It is a beautiful day just to enjoy the farm and check out our new additions while you're here. Leroy and Petunia are our two pigs! They are a cross between Gloucestershire Old Spot & Berkshire and are residing in the old chicken pen area.
David and I have a little bit more cow manure that can be bagged today if any of our farm friends still need some to get their gardens in. We also have a few last plants available as well. These are buy one, get one free. Get 'em while they last! See you soon at the farm,
Daniel, Susan, & Anna David, Tina, Willie, & Ellie
