Hello Farm Friends, Recently, My Dad & Me Family Farm sold a Jersey Heifer calf to a sweet young couple in Chattahoochee Hills. They are in the beginning phase of a beautiful, sustainable farm they've called Woodsong Farm and they are doing a commendable job. It is great to see young couples choosing farming as their career of choice! They are raising laying ducks on pasture and feeding them the same Organic, non-GMO, Soy-free New Country Organics feed that we sell and feed. Since Pete & Kristin Davenport have not fully established their local
markets, we have been privileged to acquire some of their eggs for our farm friends while our chicken egg supplies are lacking. So, if you would like to try some delicious Duck Eggs, come on by the farm. They are $12 per dozen and very rich in flavor!
We have been enjoying an abundance of greens on the farm. Currently, we have: Collards,
Lettuce, Kale, Turnip Greens, Arugula, Swiss Chard, & Radishes and also plenty of Pumpkins that we've grown. The Pumpkins can be used for decoration as well as for pies!
Susan has several bottles of Extra Milk, first come first serve, so come and get it! Extra milk is great for making ice cream which can be enjoyed by a warm fire. Next week we will be putting together a farm update with some exciting news of expansion for both our "Georgia Farm Friends" as well as "New Friends."
