Hello Farm Friends,

Susan, Anna, and Tina continue to collaborate providing the farm with lots of new items for our farm friends. Winter Forest Solid Perfume is the latest creation and I'm sure you women folk will enjoy it. Susan has a sample on the back porch for you to try, so come on by, lather up, and smell sweet.

Other new items include the Sourdough Einkorn Pizza Crust and Einkorn Pancake Mix, they are great options for those with gluten sensitivities or if you are just like me and love pizza and a stack of pancakes with butter and maple syrup!

David and I have been making trips to the Alabama farm moving non-essential items from Powder Springs to Hokes Bluff. You might be a redneck if you move your family in a cattle trailer :) Oh well, I guess we fit the stereotype!

David and Tina will be living at the new farm while Susan and I will remain here keeping the Georgia farm going.  The Alabama addition should prove to be a great asset in support of the Georgia farm. Lord willing we will be able to increase our egg numbers as well as grow more of our own grass-fed beef and pastured pork.

Our own pullet eggs are starting to come in now in greater numbers. You will notice that Tina went with a smathering of new breeds so we are excited to have various shades of brown, white, and even green eggs. We thought our farm friends would enjoy the diversity.

We are also blessed to have Woodsong Farm's pastured, organically fed, soy-free duck eggs and chicken eggs. I suspect some of you are hesitant to try duck eggs, but from someone who grew up eating these almost exclusively, they are delicious and very rich. As a nice bonus, they make some of the best pastries you can bake. For this reason they are highly sought after by world class chefs. If you have been waiting on eggs, come on by, we have plenty today.

The abundant rain has been quite a gift from the Lord. The gardens are doing beautifully. The collards are coming in heavily now along with turnip greens, beets, kale, swiss chard and some lettuce that is still hanging on. The Saturday night freeze will probably take out the lettuce and turnip greens but everything else should continue through the winter. So if you want some salad or turnip greens, you need to come get 'em today.

We appreciate every one of our loyal farm friends.

See you soon at the farm,

Daniel, Susan, & Anna
David, Tina, Willie, & Ellie
