Hello Farm Friends,

With Thanksgiving later this week, we are all in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday since the commercialization of Christmas puts a damper on the real meaning. But the real meaning of Thanksgiving is giving thanks and I am glad for the reminder to be grateful. My blessings are too many to count, but trying to name them one by one shows me just how much the Lord has given me.

Be sure to come on by the farm for extra Milk, fresh Collards, Swiss Chard and Beets for your Thanksgiving meal. The Einkorn Pancake Mix is also a great baking mix for biscuits and other baking needs. The Einkorn Sourdough Pizza Crust would be nice to have for company when you tire of the leftovers. And don't forget the Duck Eggs for pie pastry and extra Milk for cream.

The Pumpkin Spice Cashew Bars are back just in time for fall!  Our delectable cashew bar in a pumpkin spice flavor.  Of all the bar flavors we sell, these are Tina's favorite.

This is also the perfect time of year for Egg Nog.  Click here to see our recipe for Eggless Holiday Egg Nog.  The recipe does not call for eggs and it is delicious that way, but if you want some really rich & creamy Egg Nog, just add 4 egg yolks and blend well.  Yum!

I know all of you cooks enjoy making everyone's favorite things for them to enjoy. One of my sweetest memories of my grandmama is Thanksgiving time when she made something special for me and each one in my family to enjoy. Thanksgiving is so much more than turkey and football. Lovingly prepared food nourishes the soul as well as the body.

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ."  Ephesians 5:20
