Hello Farm Friends,

I know it is freezing outside, but it is time to warm up those garden seeds. Valentine's Day has come & gone and the 14th of February is a great marker for sowing seeds indoors to be ready for our spring gardens.

Here at My Dad & Me Family Farm we have already started several trays of sweet peppers and heirloom tomatoes. Last year, I began using New Country Organics starter soil and it has proven to be far superior to other growing mediums I have used in the past. If any of our farm friends would like organic potting soil, please email me and I will be glad to set some aside for you.

If life does not afford you time for growing your own starts, no worries, My Dad & Me will be selling vegetable pots beginning in early April. Stay tuned for email updates with availability!

Broiler chickens, for the May 21st processing, are sold out! Thank you farm friends for your loyal support for My Dad & Me Georgia as well as My Dad & Me Alabama.

David and Tina, along with son, Willie, and daughter, Ellie, are working hard building farm friends near Hokes Bluff, Alabama and the new farm is progressing nicely. They have even sold some broilers from the new farm along with fresh milk and eggs.

David and Tina have also been able to relieve some of the space stresses that we struggle with here in Georgia. David has taken all of the cows that are not in milk and is housing them at the new 62 acre farm. There is plenty of green grass and fresh hay cut right from our own property!

My Dad & Me is beginning to take orders for Broilers to be processed on June 11th. Please get your orders in early since we are limited as to the number we can process in one day. You can email us your order and drop the deposit in the mail or better yet, come by & see us and place your order in person. We always enjoy getting caught up with our farm friends!

Recently, we purchased "Flossy." She is a sweet, little registered Jersey that is providing us with an abundance of milk. Thursdays and Fridays in particular have some room for new farm friends. So, if you have been following our emails and would like to get on the milk schedule, please email us or call & talk to Susan. She will be glad to welcome you to the farm and get you started on a healthy, wholesome, and delicious diet.
