Hello Farm Friends,

This  photo is of some of our mouth watering chicken that we raised here at My Dad & Me Family Farm. The girls deboned and pounded the breast meat and then David grilled them up along with some of our fresh Shiitake mushrooms. Sorry, we ate all the mushrooms :( But, we have plenty of chicken available :)

There are three more chicken dates left for ordering pastured, organically-fed, soy-free, GMO-free Freedom Ranger Broilers. Today, we are starting to take orders for the Sept. 24th pick-up date.

For those that like to stock up for the winter, now is the time to begin adding a few extra birds to each processing date. Since our chick numbers are planned a year in advance with the hatchery,  it is always a guesstimate as to how many we will need.

Okra is coming in beautifully now. It was slow to start this year, but is is making some really tender pods now. The refrigerator is full, so come on by for some delicious okra.

The muscadine and scuppernong vines are producing abundantly. This is our first year producing enough to offer to all our farm friends. They are really sweet this year!

The sweet peppers continue to produce in abundance. We have Marconi, Gaithers Gold, Jimmy Nardello, and Banana peppers. They make for a great stir fry with some of My Dad & Me's pasture raised broiler chicken.
