Hello Farm Friends, My Dad & Me Family Farm will have delicious, Certified Organic Sweet Corn from Riverview Farms starting this weekend. This is a beautiful bi-color that holds it's sweetness well.
The window of availability for sweet corn is very short so if you would like some, plan on coming by the farm this Saturday or early next week. Corn will be picked on Friday and delivered to the farm.
We are trying to estimate how much we should get so if our farm friends would please let us know how
many ears they would like that would be a big help. They will be sold in bags of five ears for $6 a package. This is a great time to stock the freezer with tasty sweet corn for the off season and get a few ears to throw on the grill! This Saturday, July 16th is broiler chicken pick up day between 5 and 6pm. If you have ordered chickens
please respond to this email with confirmation that you will be here between 5 and 6 to pick up your birds. Remember to bring your freezer bags and an ice chest.
Today, we will begin taking orders for the September 10th
processing date of our pasture raised, organically-fed, Freedom Ranger Broiler Chickens. These are the most delicious chickens you can buy. Last week, the Country Education Classes began with Susan teaching folks how to make yogurt and yogurt cheese. Thank
you, farm friends, for coming out and supporting our educational efforts. From the feedback we've gotten so far, it seems that our farm friends had a great time and it was good to hear that many of you have already had success at your yogurt making. Isn't it fun to make your own healthy, delicious yogurt and yogurt cheese!
Next Wednesday, July 20th, Susan will be continuing our Country Education with a class on Butter and Kefir Preparation. Silver members pay only $10 per person while Gold and Platinum members may attend absolutely free. This is our way of saying "Thank You"
