Here's how to order
our delicious chicken:
~Fill out an order form on the back porch and clip your $15 per bird deposit to the form. Don't forget to write down the time and date for pick up. (Susan has reminder cards on the
back porch for you to put on your refrigerator.)
~or you can call to place your order and then drop a check in the mail for the deposit.
~or if you
prefer, you can email us your order and then drop a check in the mail.
~Watch for an email reminder to pick up your chicken. Note: the email will ask you to confirm that you will be picking up. This keeps us from having to call everyone that has
ordered chicken.
What do I do on Chicken Pick Up Day?
~Bring a cooler and a one gallon size freezer bag for
each bird that you have purchased. (Pick up days are on Saturdays between 5 and 6pm)
~Bring cash or check to pay the balance of your chicken order. Birds are $6.50 per pound and they generally weigh between 4 and 5 pounds each.
(Example: 4 pound bird x $6.50 a pound = $26.00 minus $15.00 deposit already paid. Balance due at pick up = $11.00) All birds are sold whole and ready for roasting.
What is the best way to cook my Freedom
Ranger Chicken?
Meal #1 ~ Add salt (1/2 to 1 tsp per pound), pepper, and
butter. Roast on 350°F until the inside temperature reaches 180°F (about 2-3 hours). Baste the chicken halfway through baking with the juices from the pan.
