Hello Farm Friends,

We are excited to be celebrating our 10th year raising Broiler Chickens! We would like to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to all of our faithful farm friends for their loyal support of our farm.

My Dad & Me Family Farm is now taking orders for our delicious Freedom Ranger Chicken. It is our pleasure to be able to offer the very best chicken we have ever eaten. Our first Chicken Pick Up Date for this year is Saturday, May 19th, 2018 between 5 and 6pm.

Here's what you can expect when ordering My Dad & Me Chicken:

~Freedom Ranger chicken, developed from the French Label Rouge breed, bred for a                    superior dining experience.

~A firm, moist, and extremely tender chicken.

     ~Raised on green pastures, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

~New Country Organics Certified Organic feed.

     ~Absolutely NO soy!

     ~All pastures maintained Organically.

~Raised and processed humanely by My Dad & Me Family Farm.

Here's how to order our delicious chicken:

~Fill out an order form on the back porch and clip your $15 per bird deposit to the form.             Don't forget to write down the time and date for pick up. (Susan has reminder cards on             the back porch for you to put on your refrigerator.)

~or you can call to place your order and then drop a check in the mail for the deposit.

~or if you prefer, you can email us your order and then drop a check in the mail.

~Watch for an email reminder to pick up your chicken. Note: the email will ask you to                  confirm that you will be picking up. This keeps us from having to call everyone that has            ordered chicken.

What do I do on Chicken Pick Up Day?

~Bring a cooler and a one gallon size freezer bag for each bird that you have purchased.                (Pick up days are on Saturdays between 5 and 6pm)

~Bring cash or check to pay the balance of your chicken order. Birds are $6.50 per pound            and they generally weigh between 4 and 5 pounds each. (Example: 4 pound bird x $6.50            a pound = $26.00 minus $15.00 deposit already paid. Balance due at pick up = $11.00)            All  birds are sold whole and ready for roasting.

What is the best way to cook my Freedom Ranger Chicken?

Meal #1 ~ Add salt (1/2 to 1 tsp per pound), pepper, and butter. Roast on 350°F until the           inside temperature reaches 180°F (about 2-3 hours). Baste the chicken halfway                           through baking with the juices from the pan.

Meal #2 ~After enjoying your roasted chicken for dinner, remove the remaining meat                                 from the bird and set aside for chicken sandwiches.

Meal #3 ~Take the stripped carcass along with the drippings and place into a pot.                                         Add water to cover, salt and pepper and cook overnight on low. In the morning,                           you will have the most delicious broth you've ever tasted. Take this broth, add                              some noodles, and you'll have delectable chicken noodle soup. Sometimes, we                               simply strain it into a mug and enjoy it for breakfast!

The cost of organic chicken is expensive so take advantage of the quality and          get three meals out of a single bird for your family!

See you soon at the farm,

Daniel, Susan, & Anna
