Hello Farm Friends,
We will have some organically grown plant starts beginning on Friday, April 20th. Normally, we try to put our garden in around April 15th but, we are expecting a cold night April 16 that might kill young plants so don't be tempted to set out your tomatoes quite yet. Hang on, spring's a comin' ! My Dad & Me Family Farm Alabama is excited to be hosting our Farm Chore Time this year on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at 11am. This is an
exciting, interactive time with the animals and a great opportunity to see the farm behind the scenes. Farm friends will have the pleasure of grooming and milking one of our Jersey Cows, scratching our heritage American Guinea Hogs, collecting farm fresh eggs from our flock of Laying Hens, and learn
about feeding and moving the Freedom Ranger Meat Chickens. We will also be making butter together and learning about daily life on this gorgeous farm.
We have recently celebrated our second year anniversary at our new farm in Alabama. The farm has certainly grown exponentially over the last 24 months
and we would love for all of our farm friends to come experience the progress and enjoy the serenity of this beautiful, secluded, gently-rolling farm. The grass is greening up early with spring refusing to wait for the calendar. Our two acre spring fed lake has been expanded to hold another
million gallons of water and is now stocked with Blue Gill and Large Mouth Bass. The Jersey cow girls are multiplying at a rate of one new arrival every three weeks and the rich yellow Jersey milk is flowing abundantly. Farm Chore Time has always been a highlight at My Dad & Me Family Farm, but this year proves
to be extra special with David and Tina hosting at our new 62 acre paradise.
The cost is $20 per person with a maximum of $100 per family. Save the Date and
come join us Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11am. Stop by the farm and secure a spot for your family with a $10 a person deposit or if it is more convenient, send us an email and then drop your deposit in the mail.
