All the greens are loving the afternoon showers we have been getting. We've been picking this morning and have lots of yummy things in the fridges. Kale, Swiss Chard, Beet
Greens, Arugula and a Salad Mix with spinach, lettuce and beet greens.
We love the Beet greens! They cook up nice and tender like spinach. Just wilt them in a pan with butter and a splash of water. You get the amazing
nutrition of the beet in the leaves too and it tastes more like spinach than a beet.
The cows are really enjoying the spring
grasses and are making lots of milk. We have plenty of extra milk in the fridges today for some cold, creamy ice cream. We have a Cuisinart table top ice cream maker that makes ice cream without all the hassle of ice and salt. You just freeze the bowl and then add your ingredients and get homemade ice cream in 20 minutes! 3 Cups of cream, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of Maple Syrup, salt and vanilla...that's all you need for amazing ice cream.
We are now taking orders for our delicious Broiler Chickens for Saturday, June 30 pick up. These are the highest quality birds you will find. They are raised on pasture and fed organic, non-GMO, soy free feed.
The Lord has blessed the farms with plenty of rain and wonderful sunshine. Everything is exploding over here, so come on out to the farm today and pick up some delicious, healthy meals.
