Hello Farm Friends,
It’s spring time and it has been a busy few weeks here at the farm! We have been plowing and planting gardens, cutting and trimming grass, pruning fruit, rotationally grazing cows and having kittens (well, not us but Buttons!)!
We have even been harvesting! Lettuce, beet greens, arugula and lovely herbs are
coming in now. The oregano, thyme, chives, sage, peppermint and spearmint are happy that it is spring and going strong.
Buttons surprised us by “hiding” her kittens right under our noses. She had them
around Easter and hid them on the porch behind the milk refrigerator. We did not find them until we heard a tiny “meow” one day and lo and behold, she had three cute as a “button” furry babies. Two females and one male. The black furry male is spoken for but the two girls are available for $30 each. These will be great mousers as Buttons is already training them to hunt. (Re: chipmunk on porch alert)
We would like to share some tomato plants with our Farm Friends. We have some pot bound tomatoes that really need to be planted. If you are a Farm Member, we will give you up to 6 tomato plants for free while the supplies last.
Thank you farm friends for continually supporting us.
See you soon at the farm,
Daniel, Susan, & Anna David, Tina, Willie, Ellie, Heidi and Laura |
