Hello Farm Friends,
The Muscadines are coming in heavy now and they are super sweet this year with all the good rain and sunshine the Lord has blessed us with. Susan is going to put a bowl out today for those of you who have never tried "southern grapes". So stop by the farm and enjoy some of these delicious muscadines!
We have some beautiful garlic available today. Garlic has been used as a natural antibiotic for years and is good for maintaining healthy bodies. We find that it is
much nicer to eat right, exercise and get plenty of sunshine and therefore avoid the doctors than it is to save a few pennies on groceries and give it all back to the medical establishment. Food is fuel so fill up with the best so you can feel your best!
We got a nice head start on the fall gardens this year. We put in Collards, Cabbages, Swiss Chard, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Brussel Sprouts, Beets
and Arugula. Hungry anyone?
Apple Pie and Maple Glazed Pecans- two of the farmers favorite along with ...
...a large glass of fresh, cold Jersey milk!
Susan and I went over to Alabama Thursday and we processed 122 broiler chickens along with David and Tina and Willie and Ellie. Heidi and Laura kept the swing set in action for us while we worked. Roasted chicken is one
of our families favorite dishes!
See you soon at the farm,
Daniel, Susan, & Anna
