Holly and Ivy are Expecting Twins?, Farm Trails, Farm Picking
Published: Tue, 04/11/23
Hello Farm Friends,
The farm is green again! We have been cutting farm trails throughout the property and around the lakes so that our Farm Friends can come out
and enjoy walking the pathways with their dogs or simply using them as a place for exercise and solace. The trails will be open to members from dawn to dusk, Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sunday. So come on out to the farm and test out the trails! Susan and I have already been using the trails and enjoying some peaceful evenings and beautiful sunsets.
Holly and Ivy are doing their part in
the expansion of My Dad & Me Family Farm. Both of our Nigerian Dwarf goats are in a family way and should be kidding very soon. David and I have been building them a new large enclosure in the front yard so that our Farm Friends can once again enjoy coming out to feed them. We have set it up to where folks can go inside the enclosure and interact with the goats. We have some small cups of feed in the store for 50 cents a cup for those that would like to feed Holly and Ivy. The goats are so
sweet and we look forward to having several little babies running around soon.
David and I are putting feelers out
about a "Farm Pickers" time here at the farm on Saturdays from 12 to 3pm. So all of you who play an instrument, let us know if you would be interested in doing this. Country, Bluegrass, Pop, as long as it is God honoring, it's welcome. If pickers would call us at 256-492-7066 or email us at: mydadandmefamilyfarm@gmail.com and give us some feedback, we would love to hear from you along with any ideas you might have. Also, if there is anyone that might be interested in leading this group, we would love to hear from you. For those of you who do not play an instrument but would enjoy dropping by and listening, of course you are welcome!
