Dear Farm Friends,
Thank you Farm Friends for your support of My Dad & Me Family Farm. With our abundance of grass, the farm is really growing which means lots of healthy 100% grass fed A2-A2 milk.
David moves the cows twice daily to new paddocks creating pastures loaded with fresh herbs, seasonal grass, legumes and lots of perennial forage. My Dad & Me has climbed to nearly 40 registered A2A2 Jersey's and would love for you to come join us! If you are already one of our dear farm friends, please consider
expanding your footprint with the farm.
We sell many other products which are now featured on our new website. Ordering through one of the co-ops in Georgia or Alabama has been
simplified and our new store presence in Piedmont, Alabama has been renovated.
Nascar race fans understand that in order for their hobby to exist, the fans need to purchase from their
sponsors. Million dollar race cars are not funded entirely by a $50 ticket to see a race. Sponsors are imperative to foot the mammoth bill required to keep the cars racing week to week.
Producing raw milk from 100% grass fed registered A2-A2 Jersey cows is similar to our racing example. Even at $12 a bottle, the true cost is not fully covered. Let me provide an example that explains this:
The commercial milk industry produces 12 - 13 gallons of milk per cow per day. Keep in mind that this milk is full of pesticides, herbicides and GMO's that compromise our health and the health of the animal. For their efforts, they receive a retail reward of $4.31 a gallon. (average cost of a gallon of milk as of May 2023) 13 gallons of milk x $4.31 per gallon = $56 per cow.
My Dad & Me Farm averages 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of milk per cow per day. Keep in mind this milk comes from 100% registered A2A2 Jersey cows which produce the highest cream content, is 100% grass fed which produces
the healthiest quality milk in the world. For our efforts we receive a retail reward of $24 a gallon. 1.5 gallons of milk x $24 per gallon = $36 per cow.
Even though our costs are much higher than the commercial industry, we get $20 per cow less. The industry feeds tons of GMO corn which is subsidized to the commercial farmer at the tune of 1 billion dollars a year. Grain makes a lot of milk but produces an inferior product! This means their cost to produce milk stays low while their retail dollar per cow is much higher.
We would like to encourage all of our farm friends to share some of your "Nascar Dollars" with us. In order to keep the milk flowing, we need for our farm friends to purchase the other items we sell in order to offset the true cost of the milk. Many of you are already
doing this and we appreciate it very much!
Please check out our website: mydadandmefamilyfarm.com and see if there are other items you could enjoy to help keep My Dad & Me Family Farm's 100% A2-A2 grass fed milk flowing to our wonderful farm friends!
