Organically Grown Turkeys, Homesteaders

Dear Farm Friends,

Our son-in-law, Michael Warrak has organically raised turkey for anyone who is interested. Just call him at New Creature Farm at 256-913-7045.

He will be able to deliver them to First Church of the Nazarene on Dallas Highway in Marietta, Georgia this Saturday, November 18th at 1pm (Georgia time) when he delivers the orders for My Dad & Me Family Farm.

Or for our Birmingham or Piedmont area customers, you can make other arrangements with Michael about getting them, even picking them up from our farm store. If you are interested in a turkey, please call him ASAP since he is butchering according to the orders he gets.

Michael has both Heritage and Broad Breasted Turkeys and they both are delicious! We will be enjoying one this Saturday when we have family coming to the farm.

All of us here at My Dad & Me Family Farm would like to say a sincere Thank You to all of the farm friends that chose to come out for our Homesteaders Social! The day was overcast and drizzly but in spite of the weather, we had such a good time getting to know folks seeking to become Homesteaders.

We hope to do something similar again in the spring since many have expressed a desire to join in. Watch for an email and we look forward to an expanding Homesteading community.

What is Homesteading? The act of producing enough of your own food so that when the government cuts you off, you won't starve to death.

Willie now runs a crew of four, along with his three milkmaids: Ellie, Heidi and Laura.

The six lakes here at the farm are for more than just irrigation and to water the cows. We eat out of these lakes! David and I enjoy catching the one pounders more than the six pounders because we get to eat them instead of throw them back :)

David and the kiddos are settling in to their new home next door.

Calves always get the first of the raw milk but we have plenty to spare here at My Dad & Me Family Farm!

We get to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery here on the farm. Come join us!

This is our new wintering barn for our Jersey girls. The box you see off to the right is a mineral box that holds 20 different minerals for the cows to free choice. This in part is what provides the most delicious but even more importantly the most healthy 100% grass fed, A2A2, registered Jersey, raw cow's milk!

The kids love stomping around in the creek. I guess they inherited that from me!
