It is very peaceful opening up the chickens at sunrise on the farm. These are the highest quality eggs by far that you can get anywhere. They are fed 100% organic feed from New Country Organics and they spend their days on pasture eating grasshoppers and crickets and feasting on the pastures. Heidi and Laura, now 7 years old,  are our two egg collectors. We keep about 300 hens on average and the girls take good care of collecting and cleaning the eggs and cartoning them for sale. 

    David, Willie and myself, have been putting in thousands of feet of water line in order to better service the cows. For a decade, we have been running this farm off of thousands of feet of water hose because that was the fastest and cheapest way to expand but we are excited to be getting in more permanent water line with hose bibs every 75 to 100 feet. 

    This will also help with high water bills since water hoses tend to spring leaks! David and Willie patch them nearly every day. 

    Another great benefit to having the water line buried in the ground is that it keeps the water much cooler which helps the cows regulate their body temperature better. It takes a lot of water to make delicious grass fed milk. 

    It will be glorious having permanent water lines all the way to the back 40 and beyond!

100% Grass Fed, A2A2, registered Jerseys. Their is no higher quality milk than the Jersey which originates from the island of Jersey! They have wonderful temperaments and it is amazing to watch the children handle them. 

    The cows are not intimidated by the kids and do whatever they ask of them. Jerseys love their routine and thrive in a safe, healthy environment where they are provided good forage and clean dry housing. The kids are thriving as well, growing up on the farm and performing chores each day along with their father David and their grandparents and their Aunt Anna.

Willie and Ellie, along with the twins, Heidi and Laura, handle most of the milking. Susan and I pour up all the milk and get it to our loyal farm friends. 

    David makes sure that all the animals are properly fed, watered, milked and given fresh paddocks each day along with a million other chores to keep this 130 acre farm thriving!
